Don’t Forget To Clean Your Electrical Appliances

Whether it is at home or work, you must thoroughly clean your electric appliances regularly. You must not leave any small debris and dust on electrical devices, outlets, power strips, etc. Not only can this interfere with the operation of the entire electrical installation and cause problems, but it can also harm you. Working with electricity is very specific, so you need to know what to do and what not to do when cleaning appliances and elements of the electrical system.

When cleaning your electrical appliances, sockets, power strips, switches, etc., all must be turned off and not overheated. If they are still warm, wait for the cleaning. Do not rush to turn them on after cleaning. Wait for them to dry completely, and then you can use them. You can dry them with a towel. You must keep all cables and things that carry electricity from water and moisture. Also, be careful what items you use for cleaning. Detergents should not be too aggressive. You should not use wire sponges or other similar harsh agents because you risk spoiling the surface of what you are cleaning.

No matter how good a housewife you are, electrical appliances at home can always surprise you with a stain or put your patience and skills to the test by refusing to shine like new. See clever tips for cleaning appliances at home.

  • You can clean white plastic surfaces on small appliances with a cotton swab soaked in lavender alcohol.
  • Stubborn dirt on the blender will be a thing of the past if you fill the appliance halfway with water and drop 1-2 drops of dish detergent. Cover with the lid and turn on the blender for a few seconds. Finally, rinse.
  • Among the most common problems with the washing machine are the unpleasant odour and dirt on the seals. Therefore, after removing wet clothes from it, always keep the door ajar – this way, the washing machine dries, and there is no danger of moisture and mould. Also, wipe the rubber seals with a dry cloth – where most of the dirt collects. Don’t forget to clean the washing machine and filter several washes.
  • There are two ways to deal with unpleasant odours in the refrigerator:

Option 1: Leave a little baking soda bowl on the shelves to absorb the aromas.

Option 2: – the same effect has cotton sprinkled with vanilla.

  • To clean the iron, soak a cotton swab with lemon juice or apple cider vinegar. The acid will remove deposits on the metal surface. Another option is to use toothpaste.
  • We know that the oven is one of the most unpleasant household tasks. Sometimes, strong detergents lead to skin injuries and broken nails. Try a bowl in which you put 50g of ammonia. Put it in the oven and leave it for 24 hours. Then wipe the appliance with a damp cloth and dry it. Ammonia causes the layered fat to fall off on its own. And while you wait for it to work, soak the grills in a large container full of water and dish detergent – this will make them easier to wash.

Half a lemon instead of a sponge

It is the easiest way to take advantage of the cleansing capabilities of lemon. Just cut a lemon in half, take one of the two pieces and rub the hobs, for example. Leave to stand for a while with the lemon juice, then wipe with a sponge. You’ll be amazed at how well lemon can clean grease and stains on the hob over time.

You can also enhance the effect of lemon with a bit of soda. Sprinkle the cut side of the lemon and rub, for example, on the sink, faucets, dirty tray, etc. In addition, the combination of lemon and soda is perfect for removing stubborn odours in the refrigerator, the smell of garlic and onions, the smell of moisture in the bathroom, etc.

Flavouring lemon steam

Now that you have cleaned all your surfaces complete your cleaning by trying this air-freshening technique:

Put leftover lemons in a saucepan and fill them with water to cover the peels. Turn the hob on low enough for the liquid to warm to a position where steam begins to escape.

For example, you can add a little mint, which combines well with the aroma of lemons.

You have placed the most significant number of appliances in the home in the kitchen. These are hobs, cookers, hoods, microwaves, grills, barbecues, coffee machines, blenders, juicers, food processors, refrigerators and much more. In these cases, the contamination is not only due to the accumulation of dust but also from residual food products. If you don’t clean them regularly and after each use, these residues become resistant to cleaning. In addition, it violates the excellent quality of their work.

Do not throw away your appliances, but leave them to the professionals from the cleaning companies to clean them mainly to restore their necessary functionality and again to be able to use them as intended.
